POST FALLS, ID.— The Post Falls Library is scheduled to reopen Monday having been closed due to water damage caused by a broken pipe in January.
Since the incident, the Community Library Network has worked diligently to navigate insurance claims, dispose of damaged items—including books and other catalog materials—and manage the packing and storage of the library’s remaining contents.
Extensive remediation, repair, and construction efforts have transformed the affected spaces. The project cost totaled $943,536.88, according to the Community Library Network.
A temporary library was housed in a meeting room at the library while the damages were being repaired.
Over the past few weeks, staff have been moving all of the library’s contents back into the library, in preparation for Monday’s reopening.
A grand reopening ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Monday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The community is welcome to celebrate this exciting milestone.
