SPOKANE, Wash. — A former U.S. Air Force airman from Spokane faces up to 30 years in prison for a covid relief fraud scheme.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 26-year-old Taylor Kendall of Spokane and Michael Allen of Georgia were indicted by a federal grand jury.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Kendall was serving out of Fairchild Air Force Base at the time of the alleged crimes.
According to court documents, Kendall and Allen are accused of filing fraudulent businesses documents claiming to operate businesses between 2020 and 2021 in order to receive covid relief funds.
The two men are also accused of assisting others in covid relief fraud in exchange for money.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says the two men received more than $300,000 in relief funds.
Kendall and Allen face a dozen counts of fraud.
