SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown will be part of Governor-Elect Bob Ferguson’s transition team that will help guide the goals of the new administration.
According to Ferguson’s team, The Transition Team is composed of a diverse assortment of professionals and community leaders that will help prepare and implement his vision and priorities for the state.
Mayor Brown and the rest of the team will work closely with Ferguson’s team, current administration, stakeholders and community organizations to figure out the state’s needs and come up with a strategic plan to help Ferguson implement his priorities for the first 100 days of office.
“Transition is a critical time for our state,” Ferguson said. “I’m grateful to this team for dedicating their time and energy to improving state government to better serve Washingtonians. We will focus on delivering practical, commonsense solutions to the challenges facing our state. This team brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. They will help us build a stronger Washington.”
Other members of Ferguson’s transition team include State Senator Andy Billig (D-District 3), Kalispel Tribe Vice Chair Curt Holmes and more.
The transition team is meeting for the first time on Friday, Nov. 22.
