KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — A 13-year-old girl had to be life flighted from a head-on crash south of Athol Wednesday night.
According to Idaho State Police, a 78-year-old Coeur d’Alene woman was driving south on Highway 95 near Silverwood Theme Park around 6:30 p.m.
ISP says she crossed the center median and hit a northbound vehicle head on. A 37-year-old mother and her 13-year-old daughter from Cocolalla were in the northbound car.
The 78-year-old and 37-year-old were taken by ambulance to area hospital and the 13-year-old was taken by Life Flight.
ISP says the cause of the crash is under investigation.
