LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — The HUB Sports Center unveiled its new multipurpose turf fields Saturday.
The milestone was celebrated with a ribbon cutting, comments from state and local legislators, and fun games for people to enjoy.
The HUB said these new fields double the capacity for publicly accessible synthetic turf fields in Spokane County. The fields are made for soccer, lacrosse and football, though other sports are welcome to use them as well.
“HUB Sports Center is excited to expand our capacity to serve this community,” said Phil Champlin, the executive director of the facility. “These fields will be a game changed for our community as youth are being turned away from play opportunities because of a lack of space. We can make a difference in the lives of youth with these new fields.”
The new fields are located on the east side of the HUB Sports Center at 19619 E Cataldo Avenue, Liberty Lake.
Officials at The HUB Sports Center said they are still looking to add more synthetic turf fields in the future.
