UPDATE 2 p.m.: The Keller Ferry resumed service a couple hours later.
KELLER, Wash. — Drivers who take the Keller Ferry to cross the Columbia River will have to take a different route for the foreseeable future.
Washington Department of Transportation says the ferry continues to suffer from an ongoing mechanical issue and will have to shut down.
Drivers are told to use SR-25, SR-155, or SR-174 to bypass the ferry but plan an extra hour of drivetime.
There is no estimated time for the ferry’s return.
