SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — More than 360,000 Spokane County residents will have their ballots mailed out before the end of the week.
The Spokane County elections office said ballots will be mailed on Thursday and Friday for the November 5 General Election.
The local and state voter’s pamphlet will also be mailed this week to everyone in Spokane County.
The Spokane County Auditor said ballots are going out earlier than normal to give voters more time to fill them out and to account for the postal service’s longer delivery times for first-class mail. The county is expecting the number of ballots for this election to be twice what it usually handles.
Ballots must be postmarked by Election Day.
If you’re a registered voter and don’t receive a ballot by October 18, contact the Spokane County Elections Office at 509-477-2320 to get a replacement.
If you are not yet registered to vote or need to update your address, you have until October 28 to register online here. Alternatively, you can register or update your registration in person on Election Day.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5.
