SPOKANE, Wash. — The American Red Cross is hosting blood donation opportunities in the Inland Northwest due to the impact of Hurricane Helene.
The Red Cross said thousands of blood and platelet donations had to go uncollected after the storm made landfall on September 26. Donors across the United States, including Washington and Idaho, are encouraged to make an appointment and help keep the blood supply stable.
Anyone who donates blood, platelets or plasma in October will receive a $10 Amazon gift card and be automatically entered for a chance to win one of three $5,000 gift cards. For more information on the giveaway, click here.
