OTHELLO, Wash. — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is calling a threat at McFarland Middle School in Othello not credible.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies learned of a potential threat Thursday believed to be related to unresolved gang activity from over the weekend.
Deputies notified the parents and kids that were potential targets.
During the investigation, deputies contacted several kids including the primary juvenile suspected of starting the threat.
Deputies determined the threat was not credible but did not say if any charges were filed.
The Othello Police Department will have more officers at McFarland out of an abundance of caution.
