SPOKANE, Wash. — Chase Middle School is dealing with the effects of unsubstantiated threats made against the school over the weekend.
According to the school, Spokane Police investigated a rumor over the weekend of a threat related to the school. The school confirmed with police Tuesday that the threat was not credible.
Students continued to spread the rumor though, leading to a delayed start in the school day Wednesday morning.
According to the school, students were kept on buses Wednesday morning due to a comment made about the rumor.
Officials determined the rumor was not real once again and students were allowed into school around ten minutes after the school day was supposed to begin.
School officials said if you have reason to believe there is a potential threat to the school, call Campus Safety at 509-354-7233 or email safeline@spokaneschools.org
