An Arkansas inmate already serving time in prison is accused of using cell phones to sexually exploit a North Idaho child.
A federal grand jury indicted Hamza Luay Nijmeh this week with sexual exploitation of a child.
Nijmeh was already serving a sentence for the distribution and receipt of child pornography. Previous court filings say Nijmeh used the app Kik to trade sexually explicit photos of children.
Federal prosecutors say between August and October last year, he obtained cell phones while in federal prison and used them to exploit the child.
If convicted on the indictment, he faces between 25 and 50 years in federal prison.
Federal court documents do not indicate how Nijmeh obtained the cell phones and what methods he used to allegedly exploit the child.
U.S. Attorney Josh Hurwit announced the indictment, commending the work of Moscow Police, Lewiston Police and the FBI.
The agencies encourage anyone with additional information about the case to contact the FBI at 208-746-3440.
