CHENEY, Wash. – The Eastern Washington Eagles (2-6, 1-4) fell to the No. 5 Montana State Bobcats (6-1, 3-1), 56-20.
MSU running back Adam Jones rumbled for 84 yards and three touchdowns, helping pace the Bobcats offense to 413 yards, less than EWU’s 439.
The Eags also earned 31 first downs and 11 third down conversions, but three Nate Bell interceptions, including one for a touchdown, didn’t help.
Eastern has next week on bye, and then hosts the No. 7 Montana Grizzlies on Halloween night.
