MISSOULA, Mont. – The Idaho Vandals have a knack this season for beating top-10 Montana schools.
Idaho (2-5, 2-2) defeated the No. 7 Montana Grizzlies (5-3, 3-2), 42-35, in another huge upset win.
Idaho quarterback Joshua Wood threw for 335 yards and three touchdowns, plus another 85 rushing yards and a score. This helped offset an outstanding Keali’i Ah Yat statline of 338 yards and five touchdowns for the Grizz.
Idaho brings home the Little Brown Stein trophy for just the second time in the 21st century, the only other win, 30-23, came in 2022.
The Vandals have only two wins this season: No. 1 Montana State and No. 7 Montana.
Idaho next hosts the Southern Utah Thunderbirds on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2:00 p.m.
