COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Residents of North Idaho can now skip a trip to the Department of Motor Vehicles with a new DMV self-service kiosk.
The kiosk allows customers to renew eligible standard vehicle registrations and print their new registration immediately. Idaho State Parks Passport customers can also add a Parks Passport as part of an eligible vehicle registration renewal.
The Coeur d’Alene location is part of a statewide rollout bringing DMV services to places Idahoans already visit. The kiosk joins nine other locations available at grocery stores throughout Idaho, including Fred Meyer and Albertsons locations in Boise, Meridian, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and Twin Falls.
The Idaho Transportation Department developed the kiosk program to modernize customer service and give residents quicker, easier options to complete DMV transactions.
For now, kiosk services are limited to select vehicle registration renewals. Updates to personal or vehicle information are not currently available.
A vendor service charge applies to kiosk transactions in addition to the standard credit card fee. For more information, visit dmv.idaho.gov.
The North Idaho kiosk is located at Fred Meyer, 560 W. Kathleen Ave. in Coeur d’Alene.
