CHENEY, Wash. – If quarterback Nate Bell had a good game last week, he had a great one tonight.
The senior threw for two touchdowns and rushed for three more in a spectacular performance to beat the Northern Iowa Panthers, 34-24.
EWU outgained UNI in total yards, first downs, turnovers, and converted better on third and fourth down, including a Bell sneak on fourth and inches that turned into an improbable 34-yard touchdown.
Eastern now has consecutive road games, starting at another Missouri Valley foe in the South Dakota Coyotes. Kickoff in the DakotaDome is Saturday, Sept. 12 at 11:00 a.m.
