SPOKANE, Wash. — If you drove past Frank’s Diner downtown this morning, you may have noticed something unusual parked outside: the iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.
The 27-foot rolling hot dog arrived in Spokane this week as part of a special partnership with Frank’s Diner and its sister restaurant, The Onion Bar and Grill.
The two restaurants are selling a one-day special meal featuring Oscar Mayer hot dogs on their fire relief menu, with all proceeds going directly to 2nd Harvest to support fire relief efforts.
The Wienermobile is piloted by a team of Hotdoggers—12 total who cruise the country in six Wienermobiles for a year. The Hotdoggers visiting Spokane are Lucky Dog Lauren and All Beef Aiden.
“It’s always a blast with the Wienermobile,” said Aiden Jaffe, one of the Hotdoggers. “We like to say that it is a parade wherever we go. People can expect to get wiener whistles, stickers, postcards, but we are also there to just chat and have a good time. We get to take photos with you, hear your stories about your experiences with the Wienermobile.”
