Spokane, Wash. — For families displaced by the Spokane Firestorm, determining what comes next can feel overwhelming. Insurance claims, smoke damage assessments, and temporary housing decisions pile up quickly, leaving many unsure where to turn for help.
The Spokane Wildfire Recovery Resource Forum addresses this challenge by bringing local professionals and resources together in one place. The free community event takes place Saturday, August 15 at 1 p.m. at Shadle Park High School Auditorium.
Organizers said they designed the forum to help wildfire-affected families get answers, understand their options, and figure out their next steps without pressure or sales pitches.
“The idea is just give people options and information and let them know they are not alone. We are more than willing to sit down and work through somebody’s situation. And just see what we can do,” said Matt Brunner, Realtor and founder of Project Spokane.
The event will follow a town hall format, featuring a question-and-answer session and one-on-one time with experts across multiple recovery areas. Organizers say local professionals will be available to provide information and answer questions about insurance claims, restoration, temporary housing option and more
There is no cost to attend. Organizers emphasize that the purpose is simply to bring useful information, trusted local resources, and the community together for families who need support right now.
