SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Police are investigating an early-morning homicide that left one woman dead in East Central on Tuesday.
According to Spokane Police, the homicide happened just before 1:30 a.m. in the area of South Haven Street and East First Avenue.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a woman with a gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save her life, she died from her injuries.
SPD said this appears to be an isolated incident and all involved parties have been identified.
Major Crimes Unit is still actively investigating this incident.
The medical examiner will release the name of the woman on a later date.
