SPOKANE, Wash. — One of Spokane’s oldest community traditions is returning to the Hillyard District in just a couple weeks!
The 115th annual Hillyard Hi-Jinx Parade and Festival will take place on Saturday, August 1 on North Market Street.
The event includes a parade, local vendors, live music, fun family activities, delicious food, and more.
There will also be a community mural, led by local students in the Hillyard Mural Apprenticeship Program. You will have the chance to help paint a permanent piece of public art throughout the day.
The day begins with the parade at 10 a.m. followed by the festival in downtown Hillyard that will last until 8 p.m.
This year’s theme is “Hi-Jinx: A Hillyard Heritage.” The Hillyard District says it celebrates the traditions, creativity, and neighborly spirit that have kept this event going so long.
