The Indians pulled within two in the fourth after Jacob Hinderleider launched a two-run homer to left-center, but Eugene responded with a two-run shot from Zander Darby in the fifth to regain control.
The Emeralds added insurance runs in the seventh and eighth innings, including Christian’s solo home run, to secure the 9-5 victory.
Diaz finished with two home runs and three RBIs to lead Eugene’s offense, while Christian collected three hits and drove in two runs. The Emeralds totaled 11 hits, including four home runs.
