SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Firefighters confirmed structures have been lost in the over 200-acre wildfire burning near Spokane Valley.
According to Spokane County Fire District 9, over 300 personnel are working the fire, which began around 12:15 p.m.
There are no confirmed injuries from the fire as of the last update.
Over 2,000 structures are currently under evacuation. Almost 12,000 homes in the area are threatened by the fire.
Spokane County Fire District 9 Chief Matthew Vinci is advising people to stay out of the area.
Washington Department of Natural Resources will be taking over in the morning.
Fire crews will be working through the night and into the coming morning.
