SPOKANE, Wash. — SpokAnimal says it is offering to house animals affected by evacuations in Spokane County.
According to the shelter, anyone who has been evacuated by a wildfire in Spokane County can come to the shelter to board their animal for free.
SpokAnimal says so far, eight cats have been boarded from the evacuations. There are still spots available for more animals as well.
SpokAnimal is also waiting to hear back from rescue groups and the American Red Cross on how it can help at the evacuation center.
People can knock on the door of the shelter to receive help from shelter staff.
The shelter is located at 710 North Napa Street in Spokane.
