LEWISTON, Idaho — A fire completely destroyed a shop building in Lewiston on Saturday.
According to the Lewiston Fire Department, firefighters were called out to the fire on 11th Street and found a building actively burning.
Crews were able to put out the fire shortly after they arrived.
Due to the damage to the building, a backhoe was requested to help safely remove the tin roofing.
Once the roofing was removed, firefighters were able to fully put out the rest of the hot spots buried underneath.
The Lewiston Fire Department says the building is considered a total loss. A vehicle nearby was also damaged from heat and exposure.
A power line to the nearby home also burned and fell to the ground. Once the fire was out, Avista came out to the property and restored power to the home.
No injuries were reported in this fire.
