COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The Bureau of Land Management has completed construction at multiple recreation sites in North Idaho ahead of schedule!
Upgrades were completed at the Mineral Ridge Boat Launch, Mineral Ridge Trailhead, Beauty Bay Picnic Area, Blackwell Island Boat Launch, Mica Bay Boater Park, Killarney Lake Campground and Huckleberry Campground.
You will be able to find new, filly ADA-compliant picnic tables, fire rings and charcoal grills at these sites.
At locations with asphalt facilities, crews also finished recoating surfaces and restriping to improve navigation and enhance the visit experience.
BLM says Huckleberry Campground is now fully open for reservations. You can reserve your spot now by clicking here.
Blackwell Island will open for the season on May 21.
