PITTSBURGH, Penn. – The Seattle Seahawks picked up Arkansas defensive back Julian Neal with the 99th overall pick, late in the third round.
Neal helped hold down one of the weaker defenses in the SEC last season. His individual elite size and athleticism helped knock receivers off routes well.
The San Francisco native is a great press corner and ranks above average in run defense. His tight hips and lack of great catching-up speed limit him to a likely non-starter this season, but he could be a great developmental piece in a busy and talented secondary.
