SPOKANE, Wash — American flags at all Spokane City facilities will be at half-staff Friday to honor Air Force Major Ariana Savino from Covington, Washington.
Major Savino was one of the six service members who died during a KC-135 refueling crash in Iraq on March 12th.
Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown signed this order to coincide with the Governor’s directive to lower flags at all stage agencies across Washington.
Anyone with a flag outside their home or business is encouraged to do the same.
Flags will stay lowered until the end of the day.
