PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the country today, taking down the No. 7 Oregon State Beavers, 7-6.
The Cougs won through a 12-hit performance started by a quick 3-0 lead.
Wazzu freshman pitcher Ryan Falke shone in his first career start with five strikeouts across three shutout innings, all the more impressive as OSU scored 18 runs in yesterday’s first game of the two-game series.
