SPOKANE, Wash. — The city of Spokane and regional partners will be holding a neighborhood wildfire evacuation drill in the morning of Saturday, April 25.
This drill will take place in the Latah-Hangman and Eagle Ridge areas.
The city says it will give residents the opportunity to practice wildfire evacuations.
If you live in the drill area, you may receive drill-specific emergency alerts. The city says you are encouraged to practice evacuating as if it was a real wildfire.
People may notice increased traffic in the area during the drill.
The city says drills like this help improve evacuation planning and gives the community a chance to practice their plans and sign up for emergency alerts.
