BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Vandals (21-14, 9-9) defeated the Montana Grizzlies (18-16, 10-8), 77-66, to win the Big Sky tournament title and punch their first NCAA Tournament ticket since 1990.
Isaiah Brickner led the Vandals with 23 points and 10 rebounds, his biggest scoring output since January.
The Vandals’ defense impressed, holding star Montana guard Money Williams to 19 points, most scored when well-behind. This is impressive as he had 72 points over the first two Big Sky tournament games.
Idaho finds out its exact seeding, opponent and game location during the NCAA Selection Show on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
