LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The No. 9 seed Washington State Cougars (9-24, 6-12) beat the No. 8 seed Pacific Tigers (11-19, 6-12), 82-76, to advance to 2-0 in their WCC Tournament run.
Eleonora Villa continues her impressive postseason, scoring 22 points on 9-18 shooting and seven assists.
Two Cougs starters fouled out, and the team committed 18 turnovers, but they shot much better than Pacific and held the Tigers to 18 first-half points.
