HAYDEN, Idaho — Deputies with the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office arrested a husband and wife for murder related to a drug overdose.
In December of 2025, first responders were called to Brighton Court near Avondale Loop north of Avondale Lake for an unresponsive man. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died of a drug overdose.
During the investigation, deputies suspected 39-year-old Dustin and 30-year-old Angel House sold methamphetamine to the man before his death.
A grand jury determined probable cause to arrest the House’s for drug-induced homicide.
On Thursday, March 5, deputies located and arrested Dustin House in Post Falls. Angel House was already in the Kootenai County Jail for an unrelated charge and arrested on the murder warrant.
