KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — Five people were arrested after a man died in transitional housing in Post Falls last week.
According to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a drug overdose on North Cecil Road on February 22. The home was a transitional home for people on probation.
A 50-year-old man was found dead at the scene. Investigators say the cause of death is believed to be a drug overdose.
On February 26, detectives showed up at the home for a compliance check as well as another home nearby.
During the checks, investigators found methamphetamine, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. Several of the people on probation also tested positive for drugs.
Five people were arrested on the following charges:
Robert F. Mills, 48 — Possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, and probation violation Christopher A. Kemper, 42 — Probation violation Isaac Gonzalez, 39 — Failure to appear (original charge: possession of stolen property) Jorge A. Cozar, 25 — Probation violation Shannon A. Moore, 28 — Probation violation
