SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane City Council voted 6-1 to approve a $100,000 contract to support immigrants and refugees.
This Personal Services Agreement with the Spokane Immigrant Rights coalition will use the funding to provide emergency aid and assistance for immigrant communities through the end of this year.
Council President Betsy Wilkerson and Councilmember Zack Zappone sponsored this agreement.
Councilmember Michael Cathcart was the one opposing vote for this agreement.
