SANTA CLARA, Calif. — The Gonzaga Bulldogs improved to 25-2, and handed Santa Clara its first home loss of the season with a 94-86 victory.
After a back-and-forth start, the Bulldogs led 44-39 at the break. Graham Ike had a strong first-half performance, a near first-half double-double with 17 points and 9 rebounds.
In the second half, the Zags and the Broncos traded the lead, with neither side able to create lasting separation. Tyon Grant-Foster totaled 16 points by the eight-minute mark of the second half, swinging momentum in Gonzaga’s direction.
After the eight-minute mark, the Bulldogs seized control and pulled away for the victory. Up next, they will remain on the road to face San Francisco on Wednesday February 18 at 8 p.m.
