It’s allegedly winter, but warm temperatures and rain persist today, while even warmer temperatures are in the forecast later this week.
Plan Your Monday
Patchy fog may slow down your morning commute, but mild temperatures will keep a lot of typical hassles you get on a February morning to a minimum. Highs will hit the 40s this afternoon, along with a chance for light rain after lunchtime. The added moisture will encourage fog to develop again more quickly this evening.
What We’re Tracking
The groundhog predicted six more weeks of winter, but you wouldn’t know it looking at our forecast for this week. Warm days and mild nights roll on through next weekend. South of I-90 we’ll see afternoon sunshine and some middle and upper 50s for highs later this week. In Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, and points north to Canada, temperature inversions will set up and keep clouds around for the majority of each day. The best chance to break out of the clouds in these areas will be late in the week. Regardless, it will be warm even without much sunshine. Rain is back in the forecast this weekend.
