SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga’s women’s basketball team beat the Portland Pilots 69-55 at the McCarthey Athletic Center.
The Bulldogs puled away after a close first half, where the Pilots led going into the break by 6 points. Gonzaga outscored Portland 34-14 in the third quarter to build a lead that the Pilots couldn’t overcome.
Gonzaga had three players land in double figures, Lauren Whittaker led the way with 22 points.
The Bulldogs will improved to 12-6 overall and will host San Francisco January 15 at 6 p.m.
