SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — As winter weather is expected to return to the Inland Northwest, the Spokane Valley Fire Department has some road safety reminders for everyone to consider.
SVFD says snow, ice and freezing temperatures can quickly turn a normal drive into a dangerous one.
When driving in winter weather, make sure to slow down, increase your follow distance, brake gently, keep your headlights on for visibility, make sure your tires are winter-ready and carry an emergency kit in your vehicle.
