LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The No. 7 Michigan Wolverines (7-0) obliterated the No. 12 Gonzaga Bulldogs (7-1) in a 101-61 rout.
Michigan cruised to 53 first-half points, the most Gonzaga has allowed since 2021 versus BYU. The 40-point loss is the worst in the Mark Few era, and the first loss by 40 or more points since 1990.
The Wolverines won their largest game over a AP-ranked opponent in program history, and did so through shutting down Zags’ star Graham Ike, who shot a career-worst 0-9 from the field with one scored point.
The Zags shot 3-22 from three, their worst mark of the season. This includes 0-7 combined from Ike and Braden Huff.
Michigan star frontcourt duo Yaxel Lendeborg and Aday Mara combined for 33 points 15 rebounds.
Gonzaga next plays against the No. 19 Kentucky Wildcats at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville next Friday, December 5.
