SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Two people were injured in a crash on Highway 395 in Spokane County on Saturday night.
According to Washington State Patrol, a 45-year-old Deer Park man was driving north on the highway near West Russel Lane around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Another car was at the stop sign on West Russel Lane.
The Deer Park man left the highway, drove through a ditch, crossed Russel Lane and hit the car at the stop sign. That car was then pushed into another vehicle also driving north on Highway 395.
Two 17-year-olds in the second car were taken to the hospital for their injuries.
The Deer Park man tried to flee from the crash on foot, but was taken into custody. Charges are currently pending against him for the crash.
WSP says drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
