WELLPINIT, Wash. — Spokane Tribal Police Department has recovered the body of a man who ran from law enforcement and jumped into the Spokane River to escape.
According to police, officers saw a 42-year-old man with multiple warrants out of Lincoln County, Stevens County, and Minnesota.
Police say the man ran from officers, jumped over an embankment into the Spokane River, and disappeared.
The Spokane County Dive Team later recovered the man’s body. He has not been identified at this time.
