The weather is expected to cool off for the rest of the week. We’ll still come in a little above average, but with afternoons in the 40s and chilly morning lows, it will feel a lot more like November than it did over the weekend.

We’re done with organized rain for a few days. Any showers this afternoon and evening will be light and widely scattered. Winds will be a bit breezy this afternoon, with gusts between 10 and 20 mph. High temperatures should generally reach the mid-40s, with some spots near 50 in the Columbia Basin. As winds calm overnight, fog will develop, and temperatures will drop to around freezing by Wednesday morning, the chilliest weather in several days.
What We’re Tracking
The pattern will be drier from tonight through Wednesday and Thursday, with only an isolated sprinkle possible Thursday afternoon. By the weekend, another system will be in the area, but there are a few ways this could play out for us. The track of this storm will be important for how much wet weather we get and where. For the moment, valley areas are far more likely to see rain than snow, but we’ll have to keep an eye on mountain passes starting Saturday.
