PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington Huskies earned a hard-fought rivalry and defeated the Washington State Cougars in Pullman.
From the opening minutes, the Huskies jumped out strong, carrying a double-digit 44-30 lead at the half.
The Huskies extended their lead early in the second half to more than 20 points halfway through.
The Cougs battled back, mounting a 9-0 run with 7:55 remaining in the game, but that was as close as it got. Washington held firm down the stretch to seal the win.
WSU will host the Southern Utah Thunderbirds on Wednesday, November 19, at 8:00 pm.
