After a beautiful weekend, we’ll see a brief interruption in the nice weather today in the form of some short-lived showers. Even more active conditions are coming for later this week.
Plan Your Monday
A weak wave of moisture pushes through the Inland Northwest today, bringing mainly mountain showers. Rain is possible in the valleys of northeastern Washington, the northern panhandle, and the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene area. Expect these showers from midday through mid-afternoon. Valley conditions will quiet down again tonight while we watch for the occasional rain or snow shower up in the mountains.
What We’re Tracking
After a nice Tuesday, a bigger weather system impacts our area from Wednesday night through Friday. Mountain snow is expected, with the Cascades potentially seeing 3 to 6 inches through Friday. The lowlands will see rain, but it will be cold enough that we could see an hour or two of winter mix for a few valleys Friday morning and Saturday morning. Another system is expected over the weekend, bringing even more valley rain and mountain snow.
