Four individuals charged with wildlife violations in North Idaho

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Four people have been charged with multiple wildlife violations in North Idaho recently.On October 14, Idaho Fish and Game asked for help identifying people caught on motion-activated camera who were suspected of wildlife crimes in the Coeur d’Alene area.Fish and Game says thanks to tips from the public, four people have been charged with wildlife violations.The charges include:Taking big game (black bear) during unlawful hoursPossession of unlawfully taken big game (black bear)Maintaining and hunting over an unlawful bear baitHunting big game (deer/elk) with baitHunting big game (deer/elk) without licenses or tagsHunting big game (deer/elk) with an unlawful weaponHunting upland game (wild turkey) with baitPossession of unlawfully taken upland game (wild turkey)Fish and Game says the case is still open and more details will be released when the case is concluded.Anyone with information about a potential wildlife crime is encouraged to call the Citizens Against Poaching hotline at 1-800-632-5999. Calls may remain confidential and anonymous, and reports can also be submitted online.
