SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Votes are showing Mike Kelly leading the race for Spokane Valley City Council Position 1 against Kristopher Pockell on election night.
As of 8:35 p.m., Kelly is leading the race with 58.06% of the vote, against candidate Pockell’s 41.59%.
Kelly and Pockell are competing for councilmember Rod Higgins’ position. Councilmember Higgins has held the position since being elected in 2022. His term is set to end in December of this year.
As of Tuesday evening, 20.37% of ballots have been returned. Votes will continue to be counted over the next several days. Final results will be certified on November 25.
