MOSCOW, Idaho – Kyra Gardner left Washington State for Idaho this offseason, and her comeback performance in Beasley Coliseum was spectacular.
For the first time in 22 years, the Idaho Vandals (1-0) beat the Washington State Cougars (0-1), and did it through Gardner’s 26 points.
Gardner finished with nine rebounds, six three-pointers made and five steals, all those stats along with the point totals career highs.
Idaho next travels to UC Davis this Friday at 11:00 a.m. while Washington State also hits the road to face UNLV on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
