SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane Fire Department announced its new Assistant Fire Chief on Thursday evening.
After over three decades of service with the Spokane Fire Department, Lance Dahl has been promoted to Assistant Fire Chief.
Dahl began his time with SFD in 1992 as a firefighter and swift water rescue trainer. Over the course of his career, Dahl has served as Deputy Fire Marshal, Assistant Fire Marshal, Division Chief Fire Marshal and Deputy Chief Fire Marshal.
He is also a veteran, having served 27 years in the Air National Guard.
As Assistant Fire Chief, Chief Dahl will oversee SFD’s daily operations.
“Please join us in congratulating Chief Dahl on this well-deserved achievement and wishing him continued success in his new role,” said SFD in a social media post.
