RATHDRUM, Idaho — It wasn’t meant to be for the Lakeland Hawks who were unsuccessful in their bid for a $1 million prize through T-Mobile.
Lakeland High School finished in 4th place in T-Mobile’s Friday Nights 5g Lights program which is providing funding for football programs.
Lakeland received more than 393,000 votes. The overall winner was Dierks High School in Dierks, Arkansas which got almost 2 million votes.
T-Mobile says Lakeland will still be awarded $25,000 which will go to stadium repairs, improved accessibility, concession stand upgrades, and replacing goal posts.
