Thick fog has settled over the I-90 corridor this morning. Take it easy on the roads through late this morning while we wait for the fog to lift. If you get sun this morning, you’ll stay sunny this afternoon. If you don’t get sunshine by lunchtime, you may not get much sun today at all.
What We’re Tracking
Clouds will linger most of the day in areas that were socked in with fog this morning. Any sunshine for our northern valleys will be brief. More fogginess is likely tonight into Friday morning.
An Atmospheric River-type system will move in over the latter half of Friday, packing a significant amount of moisture that will raise our rain chances Friday night and Saturday. The rain will hold off long enough that most trick-or-treaters won’t have to deal with anything more than a quick sprinkle.
A significant rain shadow will occur along the lee slopes of the Cascades this weekend, limiting rain totals in central and eastern Washington. Saturday’s rain will be more of an inconvenience for North Idaho. It will be breezy and warm as this storm passes.
More wet weather is likely next week, but Sunday should be nice as we get a break between storms.
