SANTA CLARA, Calif – In its last season in the West Coast Conference, WCC men’s basketball coaches have chosen Gonzaga as the pre-season number one team.
The Zags led the way with nine first-place votes, followed by Saint Mary’s and San Francisco.
The coaches picked WSU to finish sixth.
Zags Braden Huff and Graham Ike were named to the pre-season all conference team.
No WSU players were named to the pre-season list.
WSU is playing in the WCC during the Pac-12 rebuild. Gonzaga will join WSU in the Pac-12 starting next fall.
